All non-profit organizations must bear the costs of raising funds and supporting operations and Eden Ministries remains focused on being outstanding stewards of your support. The typical non-profit assesses fees that average between 10 and 24% and currently more than 50% of US-based colleges and universities utilize a gift assessment percentage to help cover fundraising expenses.
Restricted gifts made to Eden Ministries have twelve percent of the donation amount reinvested in operational expenses and two percent saved in a long term operational endowment. It’s important to realize that Eden Ministries gift assessment percentage is an investment mandated to ensure the strength of the Ministry and long-term success of the organization.
What’s the difference between a restricted and unrestricted donation?
A restricted gift is designated to support a specific purpose, whereas an unrestricted gift, usually made to the Donate Now! Fund gets applied to Eden Ministries greatest area of need. To restrict your gift you can designate what you would like your donation to support (i.e., Impact Healing - sponsoring the clinic, supporting specific ministry partners such as Ian and Heidi Fry, or a specific project like the current Solar Installation Campaign, etc.).
Restricted gifts given to a specific campaign, such as the computer lab campaign, that exceed the campaign goals, can be redistributed at the discretion of the Board of Directors to areas of greatest need to support the ministry, in attempting to closely mirror donor intentions.
